What happened
AWS said its first cloud infrastructure region in Saudi Arabia is on track to launch in December 2026. AWS and HUMAIN also described a separate plan to make up to 50 MW available in an AI Zone by 2028 using Trainium and NVIDIA infrastructure.

The announcement combines a near-term regional cloud launch with a longer-term AI capacity plan. Keeping those milestones separate makes it easier to track what customers can use now and what still depends on construction and commissioning.
