Who operates this site
TechReadly operates this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact us using the email below.
Information we handle
- Visit information: our server records technical access logs, including IP addresses, requested URLs, request times, browser information, referring pages when supplied, and response status. We use these records to operate the site, diagnose problems, and investigate abuse.
- Correspondence: if you use our contact form or email us, we receive your email address, your name if provided, the topic, any page link, and your message. We use this information to respond and handle your request. Contact form messages are processed by Cloudflare’s email service and delivered to our contact inbox; they are not used for marketing.
- Public sources: our coverage may reference publicly available posts, author names or usernames, and links to original discussions. We use this information for reporting and attribution.
Hosting, analytics, and cookies
We use DigitalOcean for hosting and Cloudflare for content delivery, security, and Web Analytics. These providers process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare’s analytics script measures visits and page performance without using cookies or local storage for analytics. Its security features may use necessary cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from bots.
Our hosting server is in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Email providers also process correspondence sent to us. The contact form uses the request IP address for short-lived abuse prevention. The site currently has no reader accounts or email subscription forms.
Google and third-party advertising
Google AdSense is not currently enabled on TechReadly. This section explains the data practices that would apply if we enable it.
If enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits, subject to your settings and any required consent.
Ad providers may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, page URLs, and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. This involves collecting information and sharing it with advertising providers. We will identify any additional ad vendors and link to their privacy and opt-out information before enabling them.
Advertising choices
You can opt out of Google’s personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers an opt-out tool for participating third-party vendors. These choices do not remove all ads or stop data use for purposes such as security and ad measurement.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. If we enable advertising, we will obtain consent where required and provide a way to change or withdraw your choices. No advertising consent controls are currently active on this site.
Retention and disclosure
Server logs rotate automatically under server storage and rotation rules. There is currently no single fixed retention period across all log copies. Correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and retain a record of its resolution. Source attributions may remain for as long as the related article is published.
Information may be accessed by the site operator and service providers needed to run the site and handle correspondence. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address security incidents.
Your choices and requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information, or to object to its use. Email us with your request and enough detail to identify the relevant information. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
We will update this page when our practices change. The date above records the latest revision.
