Information we handle
- When you browse: our server records your IP address, the pages requested, request times, browser information, the referring page when supplied, and response status. These technical logs help us keep the site working, fix problems, and investigate abuse.
- When you contact us: we receive your email address, your name if you choose to share it, the topic, any page link, and your message. We use these details to respond to you and handle your request. Cloudflare’s email service delivers contact form messages to our inbox. We do not use your correspondence for marketing.
- In our reporting: articles may refer to publicly available posts, author names or usernames, and original discussions. We include this information to report on sources and give them credit.
Hosting, analytics, and cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They can help a website remember preferences or recognize a browser on a later visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage and web beacons, can also store information or record when content is viewed.
We use DigitalOcean for hosting and Cloudflare for content delivery, security, and Web Analytics. These providers process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare’s analytics script measures visits and page performance without using cookies or local storage for analytics. Its security features may use necessary cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from bots.
Our own visit counter also uses local storage in your browser to keep a randomly generated visitor identifier and a session identifier. It records the page path and query string, referring page, visit time, screen size, browser language, and time zone so we can understand readership and site usage. These identifiers are not your name or email address. A session starts again after 30 minutes without a page view; the visitor identifier stays until you clear the site’s stored data. Each of our two sites keeps its own browser storage.
To measure advertising performance and detect automated or fraudulent traffic, our measurement code also records technical characteristics of your browser and device once per visit. These include graphics and audio rendering results, installed fonts, screen characteristics, processor and memory class, battery status, and the number of media devices, but not their names. During the first few seconds of a visit, it also records page interactions, including mouse and other pointer movements, touch and scroll activity, clicks, and key presses by category only. We do not record which letter or number keys you press, or any text you type, copy, or paste. We also record ad impressions and clicks on our pages, your IP address, and the approximate location (country, region, and city) and network provider derived from it. We use this information only for measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention, not to identify you by name.
Our hosting server is in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Email providers also process correspondence sent to us. The contact form uses the request IP address for short-lived abuse prevention. The site currently has no reader accounts or email subscription forms.
MGID advertising on Pulse
When you visit pulse.techreadly.com, you may see advertising and sponsored recommendations from MGID. Its advertising code runs only on Pulse. MGID may receive your IP address, browser and device information, the page URL, and information about how you interact with ads. It may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver and measure advertising and prevent fraud.

Google and third-party advertising
Google AdSense is not currently enabled on either TechReadly site. If you see Google-served ads here in the future, the following explains how they work and where you can manage your preferences.
When Google ads are displayed, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to techreadly.com, pulse.techreadly.com, or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show you personalized ads based on visits to our sites and other sites on the Internet, subject to your settings and any consent required where you live.
Advertising providers may collect and receive information through cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, page URLs, device information, and other identifiers. They use it to deliver ads, measure their performance, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies when serving ads. Your advertising and cookie choices
You can opt out of Google’s personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also use the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool at aboutads.info to turn off personalized advertising from participating third-party vendors. For MGID ads on Pulse, follow the opt-out instructions in MGID’s Privacy Notice linked above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Advertising opt-outs may apply only to the browser or device where you make the choice, so you may need to repeat them on another device or after clearing cookies. Turning off personalized ads does not remove all advertising or stop all processing for purposes such as fraud prevention and ad measurement.
To remove the identifiers used by our own visit counter, clear site data for techreadly.com and pulse.techreadly.com in your browser. A later visit can create new identifiers unless you also block site storage. Page views may still be counted when storage is unavailable.
There is currently no site-wide advertising consent panel on TechReadly. The provider and browser controls described above are available to you now. If Google ads are introduced, consent messages and controls will be available wherever required, allowing you to choose and later change or withdraw your consent. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your choices in a Google-certified consent message will determine whether you receive personalized Google ads.
Retention and disclosure
Server logs rotate automatically under server storage and rotation rules. There is currently no single fixed retention period across all log copies. Correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and retain a record of its resolution. Source attributions may remain for as long as the related article is published.
Information may be accessed by the site operator and service providers needed to run the site and handle correspondence. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address security incidents.
Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to its use. To make a request, email us at [email protected] with enough detail to help us find the relevant information. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
