What happened
Meta and Reliance announced an agreement for a 168 MW AI-enabled data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, that Meta will lease, with options to scale. Meta also described separate clean-energy partnerships in India.
Why it matters
Local capacity can reduce latency and support data-location requirements for one of Meta’s largest markets. The facility still has to move from agreement and construction into commissioned compute.
