Anthropic says its new developer portal is open for submissions to the Claude directory. Developers can submit one remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector or a plugin bundle that combines MCP servers with Agent Skills and is hosted on GitHub. Claude Code plugins can also include language server protocols, commands, hooks and agents.
The portal automatically validates submissions and runs a safety scan. Developers can see review status and feedback, then decide when an approved listing is published. Anthropic does not say how long reviews usually take. Submission is available to developers on paid Claude plans.
After a listing goes live, the portal reports installs by Claude product surface and plugin version, how often the listing is viewed, and which searches led people to it. Anthropic’s review and metrics images are illustrative examples; they do not show live customer activity or promise a certain number of views or installs.
Anthropic calls plugins its main route for third-party extensions to Claude. Existing directory skills, connectors and plugins do not need to change. The company says a unified discovery experience across Claude and Claude Code will roll out over the coming weeks.
