Conductor announced that it is joining Meta on November 4 and set a shutdown schedule for its cloud coding-agent service. Conductor Cloud becomes read-only on November 13 and closes on November 20, when the company will begin deleting cloud user data.

The product lets developers organize coding agents in separate workspaces. For existing cloud users, the immediate task is preserving projects and conversations before the service closes.

Export Before the Shutdown

Users can right-click a cloud workspace and select Transfer to local to move it and its chats to a Mac. Settings → Account → Export data provides an archive of all their Conductor data.

After November 13, users can still read old cloud chats and export data, but cannot send new messages. The company asks users to export before November 20 and says active subscribers will receive a refund.

New sign-ups and app downloads stopped on November 4. Existing free users cannot upgrade, while existing Pro users can keep using Pro features for free.

Local App Has a Longer Runway

Local Conductor will receive new models and critical bug fixes until early 2027, when it will start winding down. Founder Charlie Holtz says the team hopes to offer something new by then; it has not announced a firm launch date or a precise local-app shutdown date.
